We are looking to expand our contact list at the depot for on-call Recycling Assistants. Having people we can bring in when staff need time off for sickness, holidays or unforeseen events helps us to keep things running smoothly. Come be part of our extended team!
Recycling Assistant Duties will include: assisting community members with their recycling; processing of materials; and being available to step in to help where needed. This is a physical job and involves some moderate lifting of up to 40lbs.
GIRR is committed to paying a living wage as set by Living Wage BC (Salt Spring Island), currently $28.45/hour. There will be orientation hours to train for the role.
